Employee Orientation
All new employees are expected to watch the orientation video online as part of our orientation program. This video provides essential information about home health services, our company values, procedures, and expectations, ensuring every team member is equipped to deliver the best standar care.
Orientation
All staff are required to complete the training specified by Minnesota Statute 144A.4795. This includes competency in home-care services, delegation protocols, infection control, safe hygiene and mobility, emergency procedures, documentation, client privacy, and respect for client dignity and cultural preferences. Training applies to both licensed professionals and unlicensed personnel, with additional skills required for unlicensed staff performing delegated tasks.
Mandatory Training Requirements
In accordance with Minnesota Statute 144A.4795, all home health agency staff must complete training that includes:
- Overview of home care laws and regulations
- Patient rights, privacy, and confidentiality
- Emergency response and infection control procedures
- Basic first aid, safety, and fall prevention
- Proper documentation and communication protocols
- Recognizing and reporting abuse or neglect
- Safe handling, hygiene, and mobility assistance
- Cultural sensitivity and client respect
- Medication administration (for applicable roles)
- Supervision and delegation for unlicensed personnel
